Project Overview
A meat processing plant in South China discharges 800 tons of wastewater daily, with COD levels as high as 5000 mg/L. The plant contains oil, protein, and suspended solids, making it difficult for traditional treatment processes to consistently meet these standards.
Technical Route
The project utilizes a combined process consisting of a grease trap + flotation system + anaerobic bioreactor (UASB) reactor + membrane bioreactor (MBR). Flotation removes floating oil, the UASB degrades high-concentration organic matter, and the MBR achieves efficient sludge-water separation.
Operational Results
The effluent COD remains consistently ≤80 mg/L (GB 13457-92 Level 1 standard), with a grease removal rate of 99.2%. The plant generates an annual income of 250,000 yuan from biogas power generation. After plate and frame filtration, the sludge maintains a moisture content of ≤60%, making it suitable for use as organic fertilizer.
